MMM Remember

Monday Morning Musings

Psalm 103:2

“I’m so sorry, I just forgot?” I’m sure that we have used this phrase and have had it used on us as well. I don’t know if it’s a life of disorganization or an issue of values, i.e. it is just not that important enough for me to remember. Either way it is embarrassing and brings unintentional pain to others. I have to keep a daily calendar. If it’s not written down…I will forget. And I don’t want to forget God’s benefits in my life. Here are some things that we talked about yesterday.

Reasons we forget:

 We are deceived.

  • We dislodge what is important for other things.
  • We allow distance to come between us.

 How to “not forget”:

Be confident in who God is and knowledgeable of what He has done for you.

  • Testify and teach others about God and what He has done and is doing in your life.
  • Worship in humility.

How do the following verses encourage you in connection with “remembering God’s benefits to you?”

Read 2 Peter 1:12-15.

Of the three reasons, which one best describes your propensity to forget?

Of the solutions, which one do you need to work on this week?

Pray and ask your heavenly Father for help in this area.
