MMM Forgives

Monday Morning Musings

Psalm 103:3a

In our transient culture, forgiveness does not always take its rightful place as something of value to us. If a person offends us, we simply write them off and find someone else to do life with. If we are offended in church, we don’t deal with it as brothers and sisters, we simply find a new family to adopt and forget about the old one. These are visible examples. Imagine offending a God who you cannot see. Out of sight – out of mind – out of relationship. Without the convicting presence of the Holy Spirit it would be very difficult to know how we have offended God or that we need to be reconciled to him.

Three thoughts to remember from Sunday:

Sin violates your intended and created relationship with God, others, and your world.

God offers us the gift of forgiveness – if we want it.

God forgives ALL our sins if we come with a humble heart and a willingness to receive it.

The point of Sunday’s lesson was to look at forgiveness from God’s perspective. How does Hebrews 9:22 add to your further understanding?

Hebrews 10:15-20?

Read through Psalm 32 and speak to the LORD about each verse and how it connects to you.

“Praise the LORD….and forget not all his benefits…who forgives ALL your sins.”
